Plant health #927066

Asked March 30, 2026, 12:20 PM EDT

I’ve had this plant for about 5 months, and it has started to get these spots of fungus on the leaves. I believe it is a succulent. It was mixed in with 3 other plants, so I removed 2 of them to give the roots more room. The other plants look ok. Do you know what this one needs? I live in Marion county.

Expert Response

Dear Ann,

Thank you for contacting us about the fungal disease on your plant. This looks to be a type of leaf spot disease.
Registered fungicides labeled for houseplants can be used, but in most home conditions, removal of infected plant parts and adjustment of environmental conditions to drier conditions provides good results.

  • Avoid overhead watering and try to keep the foliage dry.
  • If possible, reduce the humidity around the plant.
  • Ensure good air circulation around the plant.
  • Remove infected leaves and dispose of them in the trash (not in compost).
These practices should help even without using fungicides. Please write again any time you have questions.
